Each year ,the specialized magazine LIDER  evaluates the value-added of the Croatian business entities. Hence, the 2008 results have been summarized in the edition '' The Top 500 Companies in Croatia'' . Simply speaking, it is a sum of the gross (before tax) profit and gross salaries or wages according to which domestic companies are  ''positioned''.

Based on such analyses, Brodomerkur has been ranked 141st and it has worsened its position by seven places when compared to the year before.

106 companies active in the wholesale sector have been listed in the category '' the remaining wholesale'' , the one Brodomerkur has been listed in as well . Brodomerkur  has been ranked 7th.
